Reality has undertaken numerous successful projects for a wide range of customers, including:

:▫: Consultancy

• Procurement consultancy and production of a Summary of Need, using the STEP and POISE methodology adopted by the NHS, for a cytogenetics system for the South West, based at the Regional Cytogenetics Centre at Southmead Hospital.

• Procurement consultancy to identify and shortlist suitable suppliers for a helpdesk system for a supermarket chain.

• Responding to a Summary of Need and Detail Statement of Need for various medical systems required within Acute Trusts, for EDS Healthcare (a system supplier).

• Providing consultancy resource to the NHSIA (formerly the Information Management Group of the NHS Executive) for the National GP/Provider links project.

• Database Recovery: identifying and fixing M Technology pharmacy database corruption following a catastrophic hardware failure, where no backup was available.

• Management of the Support Team for one of EDS's major healthcare applications.

• Demonstration of an EDS product to a prospective EDS customer.

:▫: Project Management

• Providing project management resource to the NHSIA for the National GP/Provider links project.

• Project management for "Project Connect", the NHSIA project to connect all GP computer systems to the NHS network.

:▫: Bespoke Software Development

• A number of our bespoke projects have now been incorporated into our portfolio of products.

• Re-write of the United Bristol Healthcare Trust anti-coagulation system for the Horton General Hospital (Banbury) and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. This modification is now marketed as the RealCoag system.

• Interfacing pathology analysers for the Horton General Hospital. This is now part of the RealAnalyser package.

• Extracting pathology information for transmission to a GP system for Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Exeter. This was subsequently incorporated into our highly successful RealLinks package.

:▫: Data Porting

• Providing services to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, to extract existing data when the Trust procured a new Patient Administration System. Data was extracted for the following SWift PAS6 modules: Inpatients, Outpatients, A&E, Waiting Lists, Cancer Registry, Case Note Tracer.

• Extracting existing data for Somerset Partnership when they procured a new Patient Administration System. Data was extracted for the following SWift IHCS modules: Inpatients, Outpatients, Community (ICS), Patient Index (RI)

• Extracting existing data from the SWiftLab pathology system for Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, when they procured a new Pathology system.

:▫: Support Service

Reality offers formal support contracts on all of its products.

• Take-on of support and subsequent modifications to auditing and extraction sofware used by Torbay Hospital.

• Take-on of support and subsequent modifications to the Child Health Tape Link suite that enable GP quarterly Child Health payments to be made; this product was made year 2000 compliant, modified to allow file transfer as well as tape transfer, and updated to run under Caché. This is now marketed as our RealCHL product.

:▫: Contract Programming

• Multiple contracts for NHSIA at Exeter working on GP Quarterly Payments.

• Contract working on PAS system for Oxford Consortium.

• Multiple contracts for NHSIA developing the National Messaging Assurance System (NMAS) for GP EDI.

• Contract for Lloyd's underwriter developing a data warehousing system.

• Technical training course on the EDS SWiftLab pathology system (IPS) for EDS programmers.

• "Introduction to M" training course delivered to various major healthcare suppliers.

• "Advanced M Workshop" training course delivered to EDS.
