Reality specialises in providing both data porting and hardware migration services and has undertaken the following related contracts:
System migration and Caché conversion
Reality has migrated numerous hospital systems from one platform to another, and has converted a number of systems to Caché format. These include:
- Converting a suite of legacy pathology systems from DSM (Digital Standard MUMPS) to run under Intersystems Caché (UH Bristol)
- Converting a legacy radiology system from DSM to run under Caché (North Devon)
- Converting existing Reality systems (RealLinks, RealLinks (RI), RealLinks (Renal)) to run under Intersystems Caché (numerous sites)
- Migrating a Telepath system from a PDP to a Unix box (RUH Bath)
- Migrating a hospital system from a DEC PDP to DEC Alpha (North Devon, South Devon).
Data extraction
Reality has undertaken numerous contracts to extracting data from hospital systems to produce data in a format suitable for importing into new systems. These include:
- Extracting data from the SWiftLab pathology system for migration to Clinisys (Cornwall, South Devon, RD&E)
- Extracting data from the Telepath pathology system for migration to GE Ultra (South Warwickshire, UHCW)
- Extracting PAS data in readiness for merging databases (Gloucester and Cheltenham)
- Extracting PAS data for import into a new system (Cornwall)
- Extracting PAS data for import into CareXML (South Devon)
- Extracting RealCoag coagulation therapy data for import into the RAID system (Gloucester)
- Extracting SWiftLab pathology data for import to a new pathology system (Taunton)
- All major modules of a Patient Administration System (Master Patient Index , In Patients, Out Patients, Waiting List, A&E, Case Note Tracer, Maternity and Cancer Registry) and from various pathology systems and producing a flat file.
Data warehousing
Writing software to implement a data warehousing system, and extracting data from an existing insurance database and storing in the data warehouse (Lloyds insurance market). |
