| RealAnalyser - Pathology Analyser Interface |
Interfacing pathology analysers to you laboratory system can be a costly and lengthy process. We realise that the NHS does not have an endless supply of available funding. Using RealAnalyser we can interface your analysers in a cost effective and timely manner.Reality staff have been interfacing analysers to pathology systems since 1984. Using this wealth of practical experience, and some of the advantages of Reality as a company, we can usually develop a new software interface for an analyser in a fraction of the time, and therefore cost, of some of the major pathology system suppliers. Also, because of the nature of the company and our work , we can usually schedule the interface to be developed when you need it, rather than 3 months later, at a time when it might be convenient for your existing supplier to do so. RealAnalyser is already being used in conjunction with the EDS SWiftLab Pathology system and with analysers supplied by Abbott, Beckman, Kodak, Vitech and Sysmex. New interfaces to other pathology systems and analysers can be developed quickly and easily. RealAnalyser uses a single existing analyser interface to your pathology system, and pretends to be that analyser as far as your pathology system is concerned. This enables it to receive requests for any analyser from your pathology system, and to pass results from any analyser back to it. RealAnalyser is written in ‘M Technology’, a widely used programming language for medical systems. This means not only that it can run on a wide range of hardware platforms, including PCs, Unix systems and VMS, but that it can easily integrate with your existing pathology system. Seamless installationRealAnalyser can be installed with minimal impact on your existing systems. For example, no changes are required to the EDS SWiftLab system in order to use RealAnalyser.Simple to useOnce installed RealAnalyser runs quietly as a series of background processes requiring minimal user intervention. RealAnalyser has a simple menu system to select the tasks you need and offers a system of access levels enabling each user to have their own password. You can customise the system so that people using it only have access to the functions they need.Fully supportedRealAnalyser is fully supported. Our support contracts offer a four-hour response time, where a consultant will connect to your system to investigate and fix any problems. |
