Reality Consulting Limited was established in 1994, and is a small IT consultancy working primarily in the field of healthcare. We deliver a variety of products and services, including bespoke software development, product support, project management, consultancy, M Technology training courses and contract analysis, design and programming including SSADM, M Technology and Pick.

The company is run ethically on a co-operative basis, comprising four consultants, all of whom have an extensive background in NHS computing. We specialise in bespoke products to the NHS, and have now established ourselves as the largest supplier of “middleware” products in the South West.

We have undertaken work for a number of GP surgeries, Hospitals, health care Agencies (formerly Health Authorities) and various parts of the NHS Information Authority. We have also undertaken projects outside the NHS, including procurement consultancy for a supermarket chain. Reality has built its reputation on developing and implementing computer systems for the NHS, and on delivering technical training courses; this has given us a broad perspective on healthcare computing in all areas, from procurement right through to day-to-day running.

With such an extensive understanding of NHS IT requirements, we are frequently in a position where we can give a fixed-price quote, which we believe offers a distinct advantage over employing contractors or other suppliers who only offer a daily rate option.
